I've been using this for around a month...havn't summoned up the courage to TX to a sat, but I've heard AO-27 twice. It was full quieting with my VX-5R HT!
I forgot to correct for doppler shift the second time I heard it, so I lost it quickly. But the first time, I had it until the moment it went below the horizon.
I also use it with my HT (all I currently have) to work a repeater 30 or 40 miles away from me daily. (NTS net) _________________ 73 de KI6BBF.

| Ive had it happen before where i forgot to switch freqs too with the doppler shift, i havent talked to a Sat for about a year now. I have listened to AO27 many times. Perhaps one of these days i should try working a sat, before when i did it i had to lug around a FT817 portable QRP radio because my HT didnt have the capibilities to do 2 frequencys. Now thati have a D7A it shouldnt be hard. |
