Yah then you can just scan and not worry about going out of your band.  I agree with Jonathan not to stop at General.

Like the past couple of night I have been listening on my Kenwood R-600 reciever to 14.171, there was a group on there, and of course that is the Extra portion of the 20 meter band..

I ordered my extra book from AES and will be busy reading that book and talking on 20 meters when all that stuff comes in.. Not at the same time of course..

If I don't put this test off I should be able to do it in August and get that Extra Ticket...

i have always hade a question about this     if u take the code and and fail the code but pass the written do u keep the cedit for the written

From I understand, You keep the written but just have to take the code again  to gain full General Class Privilages

Andrews right.. since they are two different elements..  but if you get the written you have to take and pass your code within 365 days.. same if you take you code you have to pass your written within 365 days...
