About 3 years ago I bought this R-600 receiver from my dad when he bought the R-2000.  This was before my upgrade so I used it to monitor HF radio on the ham bands.  The antenna I use is just a long wire out about 40-45ft across the side of my house. The R-600 is an older receiver but, IMHO, one of the best.  Now that I have an HF rig, I use the R-600 mostly for AM broadcast.  BBC comes here very strong, and the receiver is not noisy at all.  Also I have to say good things about the display, this was pre-LCD days and so it has a neon display.  It is very easy to read.  Also the meter is analog so much easier to read than the digital meter on my IC-718.  

Who has an R-600?  Share your thoughts on this receiver.
